Welcome to our global alumni community

Regardless of when you graduated, what you studied, or what you’re doing now, your diploma automatically makes you a member of the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association, without mandatory fees or dues. All Johns Hopkins alumni are entitled to the benefits and services listed below, and many can be accessed at any time!

The Hub

We created the Hub to be the news center for all the diverse, decentralized activity that goes on at Johns Hopkins. It's one place where you can see what’s new, what’s important, and what Johns Hopkins is up to that’s worth sharing. Subscribe to the Hub, here.

Johns Hopkins Magazine

Published four times a year, Johns Hopkins Magazine was created 1950 to give readers intellectual nourishment, and over the years has featured thought-provoking and sometimes controversial articles on topics ranging from particle physics to student unrest. The magazine is sent free of charge to all alumni with domestic mailing addresses.

Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union (JHFCU)

As an alum of Johns Hopkins University, you're eligible to join the Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union. A not-for-profit financial cooperative, JHFCU is wholly owned by its members. Library Services

Hopkins KnowledgeNET

If you graduated more than 180 days ago, access to student library resources ended once your JHED deactivated. 

The Alumni Association, through the Sheridan Libraries, offers valuable online resources such as Hopkins KnowledgeNET™ (HKNET)which provides alumni with unrestricted access to news, academic resources, reference materials, licensed databases, and links to other collections of online materials, free of charge!

The Alumni Life Design Experience supports members of our Hopkins community at a time in their lives when they are ready for change. Regardless of your age, background or current situation, the Alumni Life Design Experience will give you the clarity you need to take that next step toward fulfillment in your career.

Virtual live lectures and mini-courses showcasing the incredible work by Johns Hopkins faculty.

Odyssey Lifelong Learning

We offer a wide selection of non-credit, personal enrichment courses and workshops taught by Johns Hopkins alumni, faculty, and global community experts through its Odyssey lifelong learning program. Visit odyssey.jhu.edu to learn about registration, tuition remission, policies, and accessibility. Or, learn how to submit a proposal to share your passion with fellow lifelong learners.

Online Services

Alumni Email Accounts

Take advantage of an alumni email account once your jhu.edu or jhmi.edu student account deactivates after graduation. This account includes full email capabilities, including a new @alumni.jh.edu address and fully functional inbox. 

Imagine: Career, Mentor, and Talent Search Official Transcripts and Diplomas

Recent grads have 180 days to access their transcripts using SIS. After 180 days, you can request your official transcript through our third party partner, the National Student Clearinghouse. You can request for electronic copies or additional hard copies of your diploma by creating an account through myhub.org.  For more information, visit the University Registrar's website.

Online Alumni Directory and Networking

OneHop is our exclusive online community for the Johns Hopkins community to network with one another, and offer guidance to fellow alumni and students. 

Handshake

Handshake is a powerful career services platform that connects job posters and job seekers at all career stages. Offered across all nine academic divisions of Johns Hopkins, Handshake is a one-stop-shop career tool, allowing job seekers to create an online profile and access openings posted by approved employers—a group that numbers 50,000 across all industries—and sorted for their particular interests and experience.

For job seekers looking for that first position, a career detour, or the perfect fit after completing an advanced degree, Handshake is the place.

For job posters, Handshake allows alumni employers to recruit students and fellow alumni for positions within their own companies.

  1. Go to https://jhu.joinhandshake.com
  2. Click on “No account? Sign up here” in the upper right hand corner of the screen  
  3. Complete the required fields. 

Signing in:
Alumni will need to sign in with their @alumni.jh.edu email address. Contact alumniemail@jhu.edu if you need help accessing your alumni email.

Johns Hopkins College Admissions Services

Attend (and watch the recording of) the annual "College Bound" info session held during Homewood's onsite Reunion and Alumni Weekend. Check back here in early January 2025 when we announce our in-person info session dates during Alumni Weekend 2025, April 4-6.

Ralph S. O'Connor Center for Recreation and Well Being

Purchase alumni memberships at the recreation center on the Homewood campus and enjoy the indoor track, climbing wall, air-conditioned workout rooms, pool and more.
